‘Newton' producer turns director

Manish Mundra, producer of pathbreaking films like ‘Newton’, ‘Ankhon Dekhi’, and ‘Masaan,’ is making his debut as a director. Titled ‘Siya,’ the film features Pooja Pandey in the eponymous role along with Vineet Kumar Singh as the male protagonist.

The film is produced by Drishyam Films. It tells the story of a small-town girl, who, against all odds, decides to fight for justice and starts a movement against the vicious system.
