Hyderabad, June 28 (IANS) Young Telugu star Mahesh Babu has set a new record with his latest hit "Pokiri", which has crossed the 50-day mark in 299 centres.

The top five Telugu films are:

1. "Pokiri" - Apart from good action and music, the magnetism of the Mahesh-Illeana pair has made this a sought-after movie.

2. "Vikramarkudu" - Director Rajamouli has teamed up with action star Ravi Teja for the film that drew a huge opening. But the routine cop story has received flak from critics.

3. "Godavari" - Actor Sumanth proves his mettle as an aspiring politician and finds able support in Kamalini Mukherjee. Director Sekhar Kammula's love story has given him another hit after "Anand".

4. "Kitakitalu" - E.V.V. Satyanarayana's lewd comedy has paid dividends at the box office. Slapstick humour and cost effective production have him laugh all the way to the bank. The film also launches the career of actor Naresh.

5. "Sri Ramadasu" - With new films falling like ninepins, Nagarjuna's devotional saga is pulling crowds.
