'My heart is beating ' tops Telugu music charts
Mar 20, 2008 Prema RAlthough "Vaana" went off the theatres some time back, the song "Yeduta nilichindi choodu" continues to feature in the charts. A song from the Telugu-dubbed version of Ashutosh Gowariker's "Jodhaa Akbar" too makes it to the list.
The top five Telugu songs are:
1. "My heart is beating" - Film: "Jalsa". KK renders this composition in Telugu, peppered with English lyrics, with élan. Sirivennela's lyrics and Devisri Prasad's score rock and most youngsters jig on the song.
2. "Taratha yethukupota" - Film: "Krishna". The song is sung by Kunche Raghu and Kausalya and Chakri has composed the music.
3. "Yeduta nilichindi choodu" - Film: "Vaana". Karthik sings this soft, rather melodious number composed by Kamlakar and the lilting music lingers on even after the song ends, particularly the first line. The song has been picturised well too. "Vaana", the Telugu remake of Kannada hit "Mungaru Male", has some good music and this is one of the sonorous songs.
4. "Cheppalanundi chinnamaata" - Film: "Ontari". Mani Sarma scores music for the film. Cheppalanundi chinnamaata" is a soft, fairly melodious number rendered by S.P. Charan and Kalpana.
5. "Aamani rutuvu vacchinade" - Film: "Jodhaa Akbar". Srinivas renders the Telugu version of "Jashn-e-bahaara hai" with the same emotion that marks the Hindi original.
