Mahesh Babu set to hit bull's eye with 'Sainikudu'

Hyderabad, Oct 30 (IANS) Young Telugu star Mahesh Babu is set to repeat the success story of smashing hit "Pokiri" with action-thriller "Sainikudu", slated for November release.

If the film, which is loosely based on Hollywood hit "Runaway Bride", clicks it will be a hat-trick for Mahesh with director Gunasekar after "Okkadu" and "Arjun".

Gunasekar is also known as a techno-savvy director like Puri Jagannath, who made "Pokiri".

"I am always reluctant to talk about my films, but I am making an exception this time to promise a feast to my fans," said the lanky actor at the audio release function of "Sainikudu".

Mahesh Babu is paired with vivacious Trisha in this full-blown entertainer. She plays a bubbly girl and called it "a cute role".

Producer Aswini Dutt, who introduced Mahesh on the Telugu screen under his banner, described it as "the right film for the festive season."

"Sainikudu" will mark the debut of ace Tamil composer Harris Jayaraj in Telugu though his dubbed work "Gharshana" and "Aparchitudu" was a success.

Apart from Hyderabad, the audio was released simultaneously in Detroit, Sydney and Dubai.

Veteran actor and Mahesh's father Krishna recalled his prediction of success for "Pokiri" and said: "This film has the potential to break the record of "Pokiri".
