'Maharathi' is mega hit album

Hyderabad, Nov 17 (IANS) Kannada composer Guru Kiran begins his Telugu innings with a promising album "Maharathi" that tops this list.

The top five Telugu albums are:

1. "Maharathi" - The album has appealed to all fans of Balakrishna, who plays main lead in the film. "Veeche galulalo" and "Maja maja" are already a rage.

2. "Sainikudu" - Tamil composer Harris Jayaraj's debut in Telugu cinema is a musical hit. The album, however, is not on par with his previous hits like "Gharshana" and "Ghajini". "Bylo bylamo" and "Maayera" stand out.

3. "Aadi Lakshmi" - Music director Chakri shows his skill at producing youth-oriented numbers again. "Naa Cellphone" and "Rojuku" have proved catchy.

4. "Samanyudu" - The film's big success has enhanced the sales of the album. After a long hiatus, composer Vandemataram Srinivas tastes a hit. "Yeh mere dil" and "Maguva premalo" are hits.

5. "Mayabazaar" - Radhakrishna composes some mass-oriented tunes, probably to attract top-notch filmmakers. His folk number "Nadume Chitikantha" and "Saroja dala" are the pick of the lot.
