Guru Kiran's 'Maharathi' tops Telugu albums
Nov 28, 2006 B. Anuradha1. "Maharathi": Luckily for Guru Kiran, he has entered into Telugu film music with a movie that stars Balakrishna, which has assured record-breaking sales for the album. "Mangamma Mangamma' and "Uppu chapa pappu charu" are catchy.
2. "Sainikudu": Composer Harris Jayaraj's peppy album has gained popularity with the younger generation. Director Gunasekar's insistence on fast-paced numbers, however, has shackled the talented musician's creativity. "Bylamo Bylamo" and "Sogasu Chudatharama" are the pick of the lot.
3. "Khatarnak": Ace composer Keeravani comes back with a lively album. After "Vikramarkudu", he seems to have given another hit for actor Ravi Teja. "Bujji Bujji" and "Aa Gaganamlo" are a rage.
4. "Aadi Laxmi": Music director Chakri has worked hard to regain his position. "Rojuko Muddu" and "Love you lolly papa" are interesting.
5. "Mayabazar": Composer Radhakrishna is fascinated with classical-based tunes and has delivered an interesting album yet again. "Saroja Dala" and "Kanivini Erugani" bear his stamp.
