Dizzy success for devotional Telugu album

Feb 7, 2006 B. Anuradha

Hyderabad, Feb 7 (IANS) After bagging a National Award for "Annamayya", Keeravani comes up with another devotional album for "Sri Ramadasu", which tops among the fortnight's Telugu audios.

The top five Telugu albums are:

1. "Sri Ramadasu" - "Ishwaku Kula" and "Sudha Brahma" take listeners to a different world. Will music director Keeravani bag another award?

2. "Lakshmi" - Ramaga Gogula has risen like a phoenix from what appeared to be the ashes of his career to deliver a lively album for his favourite actor Venkatesh. "Dagga dagga" and "Hey Satyabamma" stand out.

3. "Happy" - Tamil music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja produces a peppy album to suit the youth-centric caper. "Chal chal re" and the title number have launched the composer in a big way in Telugu cinema.

4. "Style" - Mani Sharma scores for a dance-centric film but fails to utilise the opportunity with fast-beat numbers.

5. "Asadhyudu" - Kalyan Ram, who delivered a musical hit with "Athonokade", now teams up with Chakri for a lively album. The composer, on a comeback spree, belts out interesting tunes, including "Kalisina samayana" and "Rakasi koralu".
