Chiranjeevi puts 'Stalin' on top
Nov 2, 2006 B. AnuradhaHyderabad, Nov 3 (IANS) With the star power of Chiranjeevi spelling collections of Rs.240 million in the first two weeks, "Stalin" stays at the top of this list.
The top five Telugu films are:
1. "Stalin" - The film is still without a peer at box office.
2. "Bommarillu" - The Siddharth-Genelia love story, blended with family values, has become one of the biggest hits of the year. The feel-good movie has launched the careers of director Bhaskar and Siddarth.
3. "Raraju" - After a hat-trick of hits, action star Gopichand had a good opening but it seems that a poor plot, disjointed screenplay and pedestrian comedy can cut short his dream run.
4. "Pogaru" - After the smashing hit "Pandem Kodi", Vishal comes up with another thriller "Pogaru" and establishes himself as an action star.
5. "Chinnodu" - After playing a down-to-earth character in "Godavari", Sumanth tries to don a full-fledged action role. With a better script, it could have been a winner.
