'Ashok' ahead in Telugu audio tie

Hyderabad, July 14 (IANS) After "Pokiri", veteran composer Mani Sharma has delivered another lively album with "Ashok" to fill the top slot of the list.

The top five Telugu albums are:

1. "Ashok" - "Mumtajmahalu" and "Nuvasalu" stand out amidst fast-paced numbers.

2. "Pokiri" - The film's stupendous success has helped the album set new records in audio sales. Mani Sharma claims it to be "the right film at the right time" with his numbers "Dole dole" and "Devuda" proving to be chartbusters.

3. "Vikramarkudu" - Unlike their previous musical hits, the hit combo of director Rajamouli and composer Keeravani seems to have failed this time. "College papala" and "Jum jum maya" are just ok.

4. "Amma Chepindi" - Keeravani proves his class yet again with an offbeat score. "Vasthava natho" and "Evaremyna" are melodious. Being situational songs, they could become more popular once the film is released.

5. "Godavari" - With new audios failing, composer Radhakrishna regains a slot. "Manasa gelupu" and "Manasavacha" are still listed in countdown shows.
