Vijayalakshmi in 'Rendavadu Padam'

Actress Vijayalakshmi is back in action after a break. C.S. Amudhan, who directed the film 'Tamizh Padam', has cast her in his next venture 'Rendavathu Padam'.

Vijayalakshmi last paired with Shiva in 'Chennai 600028'. It turned out to be a big success.

Amudhan has roped in Vimal, Arvind, Akash and Richard as the heroes in 'Rendavathu Padam'. Vijayalakshmi will shed her homely girl image and take a new avatar as an attractive but dangerous character.

The actress confirmed the news on her microblogging page. She stated , 'Had super fun at C.S. Amudhan's Rendavathu Padam's test shoot. Finally, shedding my nice girl image.'
