Trisha says 'No' to Director Ravikumar

Trisha has declined Director K.S. Ravikumar’s offer of the heroine role in his Hindi remake of Tamil hit ‘Saamy’.

She had paired up with Chiyaan Vikram in ‘Saamy’, which was released in 2003. This was Trisha’s one of the biggest hits.

After Bollywood film ‘Khatta Meetha’ which was Trisha’s first Hindi film, she has not acted in any other Bollywood movie.

In the Hindi remake of ‘Saamy’, Sanjay Dutt reprises Vikram. Now that Trisha is not available to team up with Sanjay Dutt, Prachi Desai will play Sanju’s heroine in the film.

Trisha confirmed that Ravikumar approached her, but she is shooting for three Tamil films simultaneously and her hectic schedule entails extensive travel. She had to decline because her dates would not permit her to accommodate any more new films, she said and added, the Hindi remake of ‘Saamy’ required her to allocate continuous dates from August and this is not possible for her.
