Taapsee pulls out of Sundar C's MGR

Within a fortnight of her induction by director Sundar C in the cast for ‘Mada Gaja Raja’ starring Vishal, the actress has pulled out of the project. She has tweeted she has date issues and has to opt out.

Sundar would only say that Anjali and Varalaxmi are part of his film. He declined to comment on Taapsee.

A source in the unit reportedly told an English daily that Taapsee had been signed on and even allotted dates from June 25 to July 10 for the shooting in Palani. She wanted a few days off in the first of July to promote her Hindi flick “Chashme Badhoor”. She also said to have called comedian Santhanam and urged him to ask for the same dates in August as she had wanted. This is to make it appear that she alone was not responsible for any change of schedule.

The source came down heavily on Taapsee, saying, “This is completely unethical and unprofessional behaviour on her part”.
