'Sivaji' has a message - Shankar
Jun 10, 2007 PVSBefore leaving for Canada with his family for holidaying , Shankar gave an exclusive interview to the Tamil daily Dinakaran in which he talked about the making of 'Sivaji: the Boss', which is releasing on June 15 all over the world.
He prefaced the interview saying generally his films focus on matters of interest to the people. 'Sivaji' too is of this genre. The country is on the fast track of growth and development. 'Sivaji' is going to tell what is important and essential and what is needed to be done at this point in time for the country's development. The message is put across in an interesting and healthy manner.
He also elaborated on the usage of 3D graphics in the movie. "We have done what no one would have even imagined. 3D is there. There is also 24-layer compose (a scene shot 24 times is composed as a single shot.) The song 'Style' will be one of the highlights of the film. I doubt whether even Hollywood has ever done this. It's such a novelty. For this song, graphic work lasted one year. Entirely new software has been developed for this. 2K resolution is common, but in 'Sivaji' it is 4K resolution which gives the film stunningly high quality. We have done this for the first time in the country. There are many other graphics in the film which will surprise the audience. These graphics are not used unnecessarily; they are used where required" said Shankar.
On Rajni's youthful look, Shankar explained how Rajni did regular workouts to keep his weight in check – not too heavy or too thin – 'He did what we expected of him to do in this regard. He would enquire about his fitness at least once in five days'. The costumes are designed by Maneesh Malhotra.
Now the audiences are waiting for Sivaji release and let's hope all the hard work pays for the makers. Click the Movie button below for more info:
