The talk is rife among the Simbu fans, if their hero will also play split or multiple personality character as Vikram in "Anniyan" or Joytika in "Chandramukhi". Without revealing much, Simbu has said that the plot development centers on a schoolboy (a plus two student) and as the story unfolds the character will exhibit four different characters.

Each character will display love, affection, and friendship. Simbu has said that the movie will be quite smart and ultimately entertaining. It will appeal to all the sorts of generations.

Little super star "Silambarasan" is donning multiple roles off screen too. Apart from writing the story and screenplay, Simbu is acting as well as directing "Vallavan". This is for the first time Simbu is donning the role of a director.

The movie has three heroines played by "Kadhal" Sandhya, Nayantara and Rema Sen. Each of these castings will be fully justified as in "Manmadhan" said Simbu.

Writer Balakumaran pens the dialogue, and producer B.S. Thenappan who has made films such as 'Kana kandaen' and 'Priyasaki' is producing the movie. Almost the entire unit of 'Manmadhan' is there in 'Vallavan'.

Shooting spots for the movie will be in Chennai, Kerala, Karnataka, Mangalore, Goa, and Songs will be filmed in Spain, Turkey, France, and London.
