Roland Kickinger shoots for Tamil film
Nov 26, 2008 PVSHe participated in the shooting along with Kollywood's rising action hero Jayaram Ravi in the Vagamon forest, a tough terrain, in Kerala last week.
Director Jhananathan and producer Arun Pandian had been to Los Angeles a few months ago. They met Kickinger and his agent Jack there. After the script of "Peraanmai" was narrated to them, Kickinger was impressed and told them he could spare 20 days for the shoot.
Kickinger plays the main villain - an international terror and a gun-runner who sneaks into India through a forest where he is confronted by a forest leader and forest guard, played by Jayam Ravi, and five NCC women cadets.
Jhananathan says Siso, another actor from Hollywood features with Kickinger and in two days' time they were ready to do action scenes Kollywood style.
Jhananathan says Rolland co-operated with the unit and in fact helped stunt master M.S. Michael choreograph the action sequences more convincingly. Kickinger also gave Ravi some valuable tips on body building and how to do action scenes convincingly.
During the shoot, Rolland stayed in a local resort and even ate iddli and churney on the sets. According to Jhananathan, when he bade aidue to the unit, his parting words were "I had a blast shooting for an Indian film. It was a great learning experience.".
Winner of the Mr Universe title,Roland Kickinger, a body builder from Vienna, has migrated to Hollywood. He has already done 20 movies.
