Rasu Maduravan's 'Mike Set Pandi'

Rasu Maduravan is now producing and directing 'Mike Set Pandi' with Sabarish and Sunaina in the lead. Sabarish has played the hero in 'Markandeyan'.

Rasu has many directorial ventures to his credit. Notable among them were 'Pookkal Oorvalam', 'Pandi', Mayandi Kutumbathaar', 'Koripalayam' and 'Muthuku Muthaga'

He produces 'Mike Set Pandi' for the film company Nesika Thiraiarangam.

Karunas plays an important role in 'Mike Set Pandi'. The cast includes Thambi Ramaiah, Singampuli, M.S. Bhaskar, Soori, Rajkapoor, Oyyapuri. Yogi Devaraj, Scissor Manohar, Supergood Lakshmanan and Nagendran. A few new faces also have been introduced.

Kavi Periyathambi scores the music. U.K. Senthilkumar handles the camera.

In addition to production and direction, Rasu Maduravan has written the story, the screenplay and dialogues.

The shooting, which started in the last week of November, will continue for 70 days in Dindigul, Theni, Kurangani and Cumbum.

All Rasu's earlier films were family-centric. Interestingly this time around he has shifted his focus to romance and comedy. The story is that the father of the hero (Sabarish) sqanders family's wealth by indulging in drinking and other wasteful pursuits. When the hero also is going his father's way the heroine (Sunaina) enters his life. Her intense love for him reforms him and saves the family.
