Rajni's 'Rana' will have 7 heroines

Superstar Rajnikanth's ambitious project 'Rana' is making constant news for its female casting.

While Deepika Padukone, Asin and Anushka were reported to be finalized as the three female leads opposite Rajni who plays a triple role in the film, it doesn't end there. Recently Rekha, walked out of the film. And Madhuri Dixit who earlier refused the film for being cast as Superstar's sister, showed interest to be a part of the film if she got a better role. With so many actresses in and out of the film, one wonders how many female leads will be there in 'Rana'.

The film's director, K S Ravi Kumar clarified things in a recent interview and confirmed that there are not three but as many as seven female leads in 'Rana'. However, he also mentioned in the same breath that Rajnikanth will romance only three from the seven. He went on to add that only Deepika Padukone has been confirmed amongst the seven females so far while others are still to be finalized. Also he rubbished rumors of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan or Kamal Hassan doing cameos in the film.
