Jyothika has not signed for any new film after her marriage with actor Surya but her two pre-marriage productions "Pachakili Muthucharam" and "Mozhi" which are releasing later this month will ensure that she remains in the limelight.

Gautham Menon's "Pachakili Muthucharam" in which Jyothika stars with Sarath Kumar is scheduled to be released on Feb.9. The second film "Mozhi" with Prithviraj in the lead and directed by Radha Mohan is expected to be released a week later.

"Mozhi" is produced by Prakash Raj of Duet Movies. Speaking at the audio release function in Chennai on Feb.4, Prakash Raj said Jyothika plays the role of a deaf mute in the film. The love between her and Prithviraj, who plays a musician, is the pivot of the story. Prakash Raj said he was really surprised by Jyothika's acting in this film. She should reconsider her decision to quit acting as Tamil cinema should not lose such a talented actress, he appealed.

Director Shankar, who received the first audio cassette from Prakash Raj, recalled the days when he worked with Jyothika. "Those days cannot be forgotten," he said.

Radha Mohan said he would like to work with Jyothika for one more film. Priyadarshan who introduced presented mementoes to her.
