Poonam Kaur, who acted as the sister of Vishal in 'Vedi' is making her debut as the heroine in a thriller film titled 'Vadam', produced by Nazir.

A.Venkatesh plays an important role. Others in the cast include John Vijay, Mahendran, 'Boys' Manikantan, Sarvajit and child artiste Varsha.

Srikanth Deva scores the music. Abushah is the cinematographer. Madhivanan, who worked as an assistant director for Kamal Haasan, directs the film.

Nazir has earlier produced 'Kalavani' and 'Etthan'.

'Vadam' is a heroine-centric story like 'Arundathi', which had Anushka in the lead.

The screenplay has been so written as to make it appear that all the scary episodes take place in a guest house at Kodaikanal. The shooting is in progress at the hill station.
