One-film-one-star rule for Tamil actors

Chennai, Nov 13 (IANS) The Tamil Nadu Film Producers' Association is considering a ban on the release of two or more Tamil films featuring the same male actor in a lead role on the same day.

According to members of the association, the move will increase the success rate of all the films featuring the same star. It is also thinking of stipulating a four-week gap between the releases of the films featuring the same star.

The first two films likely to be affected by the new rule will be Arjun starrers "Vathiyar" and "Manikanta".
