Mysskin's 'Mugamoodi releasing on Aug.31

Jiiva-starrer ‘Mugamoodi’ directed by Mysskin is releasing on Aug.31. Pooja Hegde plays opposite Jiiva.

Announcing the release date, Mysskin said. the film is a mass entertainer and people of all ages, including children, will enjoy watching it. The theme is that righteousness would always triumphs over ‘adharma’.

He said he adopted the MGR formula where the hero gets thrashed by the enemy in the first three rounds and gives it back in the fourth round. This formula is common for all films, not only ‘Mugamoodi’, he pointed out and added, only the scenario and the story vary from film to film.

Mysskin said he narrated in ‘Mugamoodi’ a story his grandmother had told him when he was young.

Of Jiiva’s superman look, Mysskin said the hero’s costume weighed 11 kilograms. In the film, Jiiva is not a superman or superhero, but a common man. After this film, Jiiva would be ranked one of the top three stars in Tamil cinema, the director averred.

He said the Censor Board had wanted some words in a ‘bar’ scene dialogue removed and they had substituted them with new words.

The film would release with sub-titles in English, Malai, French, Arabic and other world languages, Mysskin said.
