Music contest to promote 'Konjam Koffee Konjam Kadhal'

As part of the drive to promote the romantic flick ‘Kojam Koffee Konjam Kadhal’, the makers have announced a music contest titled ‘Konjam Paatu Konjam Beat’. The audio of the film has already been released and it is available in stores.

Songs adjudged the best in the contest would find place in an album Sony plans to bring out.

Audition will take place on Aug. 10 and 11 at the Balamandir German Hall, Prakasam Street, T.Nagar, Chennai. Those participating in the contest have to compose and sing a song in Tamil or English on the theme “Konjam Koffee Konjam Kadhal’. The composition must be original and can be on coffee, love or both. The duration of each song is three to six minutes.

The top ten contestants will have to perform on Aug. 16 at Kamarajar Arangam, Teynampet, on Anna Saalai. The first prize carries Rs.one lakh in cash. The runner-up will receive Rs.50,000 and the one coming third will get Rs. 25,000.

The film, directed by Venky, has Hriday, the boy who played one of the sons of Arvindswamy and Manisha Koirala in Director Mani Ratnam’s ‘Bombay’ and newcomcer Aditi in the lead.
