Muran release postponed

After almost finalizing the release date of their 'Muran' for September 23, UTV Motion Pictures have now pushed the release date back by a week to September 30.

The film stars Cheran and Prasanna in the lead and is said to be a psychological thriller. The reason for postponing the release date is because of shortage of screens in Tamil Nadu. While Ajith's 'Mankatha', released 20 days back is still running to packed house, last Friday (September 16) was the release of Fox Star and A R Murugadoss's 'Engaeyum Epothum' and Jeeva's 'Vandhaan Vendraan'. Both films have received favourable reviews and hence, the producers of 'Muran' have decided to move their film's release date by a week.

There are currently two films that are eying a September 23 release 'Kalavani' director Sarkunam's much-expected period drama 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa' and Shanthanoo - Sathyaraj starrer 'Aayiram Vilakku'. Click the Movie button below for more info:
