Movie with a Transgender in the lead

For the first time in Tamil film history, a Transgender will play the lead.

Kalki, a postgraduate in mass communication, and the founder-director of 'Sahodari Foundation', involved in empowering transgender. She also runs a matrimonial website for transgender, is now playing the lead in a film titled as 'Narthagi'.

The film is produced by 'Punnagai Poo' Geetha, and directed by Vijayapadma. One of the highlights in the movie is the language 'Koudi', spoken by the transgender. Girish Karnad also shakes a leg with Kalki in the film. The music is by G.V.Prakash.
