Mani takes 'Kadal' unit to Andaman

Director Mani Ratnam has left for Andaman and Nicobar islands along with Gautham and Tulasi who star in his latest project ‘Kadal’ for shooting.

The film has been shot till now in places like Manapad in Thoothukudi and backwaters and forts in Kochi.

Mani will be shooting some important sequences with the lead actors, Gautham and Tulasi, in the interiors of the Andaman and Nicobar islands. A song will also be filmed in a picturesque location there.

They will return to Chennai after a fortnight.

Gautham and teenager Tulasi apart, the film features Arjun, Arvind Swamy, Pasupathy and Lakshmi Manchu. A.R. Rahman is the music director and he has already composed some tunes.

Actress Radha’s younger daughter Tulasi, who replaced Samantha last month, has reportedly undergone a complete image-makeover.
