Chennai, May 24 (IANS) Multilingual actor R. Madhavan is happy that his much-delayed Tamil film "Avan, Aval, Athu" is releasing Friday even though he didn't dub for the film.

"Though the rulings went against creativity, I am awaiting its release and performance in cinemas to comment on whatever has been done," Madhavan told IANS on phone Sunday from Hong Kong where is training in martial arts for a forthcoming film.

"Avan, Aval, Athu" went through several litigations and pecuniary problems.

Madhavan demanded a stay on the release of Tamil film "Avan, Aval, Athu" in complaints filed with the South Indian Artistes' Association (SIAA) and Tamil Film Producers' Council (TFPC). In his complaint, Madhavan contended that Tamil and Telugu remakes of Hindi film "Darling" under the nomenclature "Leelai" was attempted to be released without settling dues worth Rs.7.5 million by producer Gaurav Sharma.

According to Madhavan, Sharma was allegedly cutting corners by releasing the movie's audio and scheduling its big screen launch without the permission of the cast and director Kona Venkat.

Madhavan is playing main lead in the film but his voice has been dubbed by some other artiste.

Produced by Gaurav Sharma the film also stars Shamita Shetty and Sadaa in leading roles. Kona Venkat has directed the film.

The interest in "Avan, Aval, Athu" was revived after Madhavan's recent Bollywood release "13B" made a profit following critical acclaim.
