Maddy stars in Tamil remake of Marathi film
Mar 2, 2007 PVSThe Tamil version is named "Evano Oruvan" and Nishikant Kamat himself has directed it. Abbas Mustan has produced the film along with K. Sera Sera.
Sangeeta plays the role of Madhavan's wife. Madavan has completed his work. Though when the film is releasing is not announced, media publicity has been launched.
"Evano Oruvan" deals with the problems of a middle class man living in a city. Maddy plays Sridhar Vasudevan, a bank employee, who is torn between a mundane existence and domestic disturbances. He decides to set things right and in the process becomes a threat to the very society which he seeks to reform. It is a realistic portrayal of life. Maddy says the film is close to his heart.
Madhavan's two more forthcoming films are: "Oru Naal Podhuma" and a bi-lingual "Leelai "in Tamil and Adi Oka Idi Ley" in Telugu. Rukmani, a second-year graduate student from Boston University is making her debut opposite Madhavan in "Oru Naal Podhuma "(initially titled "Nee Indri"), a romantic movie which will be directed by Prathap Pothen. Rukmani replaces Trisha, who has opted out because of her hectic schedules. K. Rajeshwar has written the story and dialogues, while Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio have composed the music. Arvind is the cinematographer. Formal mahurath is slated for April 15 marking the commencement of the shooting in Canada.
The bi-lingual, "Leelai" and "Adi Oka Idi Ley" will be produced under Ram Gopal Verma's banner. Nandaa Sen, who was signed on originally, has been replaced by Sada as the latter has a better market in both Tamil and Telugu. Kona Venkatesh, who has written the dialogues for many of Verma's films, will direct this bi-lingual film. The shooting is in progress. The last film in which Sada paired with Madhavan was "Priyasakhi".
