Lisa Haydon to be part of Ahmed's 'Endrendrum Punnagai'

Bollyhood actress Lisa Haydon has agreed to be part of Director Ahmed's 'Endrendrum Punnagai'. Jiiva and Trisha will play the lead roles while Haydon will do a character-driven role.

The 'Vaamanan' Director has approached Haydon to play a character role, and sources say, she has signed the film. She has achieved prominence with her Hindi film 'Shake it Saiyyan'.

Lisa's spokesperson is quoted as saying,"Lisa loved her character and given the makers her go ahead. She is quite kicked about the film."

Chennai-born Haydon could not spend her growing years here. She had expressed her desire many a time to act in Tamil movies and been saying she had been waiting for a good script. With 'Endrendrum Punnagai' her wish has been fulfilled.

Ahmed said Jiiva, Trisha, Lisa Haydon and Santhanam have been roped in for the film. A couple of more actors will be included in the cast.

He said the film is an urban musical entertainer and is about a gang of best friends. The story also discusses the father-son relationship and the problems facing the present generation "It's on the lines of 'Dil Chahta Hai, but the storyline is original and not inspired. It's a contemporary take on life, and how to live it to the fullest."

Ahmed will soon be leaving for Turkey with music director Harris Jayaraj for the composing session. The shooting will start in June.
