Lawrence to direct Salman Khan

If things go well, the 'Dabangg' star Salman Khan, who is working on remakes of south Indian films these days, will be playing the lead in Raghava Lawrence's 'Kanchana', a sequel to his 'Muni'.

Salman has earlier worked in the remakes of 'Pokkiri' ('Wanted') and 'Ready/Uthamaputhiran' ('Ready') and is shooting for 'Bodyguard' ('Bodyguard/Kaavalan').

Confirming the news, actor-cum-director Lawrence says, ''I have plans to direct Salman in the Hindi remake of 'Kanchana'. I'm in talks with the 'Ready' star and I should be making the announcement well within two weeks. 'Kanchana', which is all set to hit screens in Tamil Nadu by July 14, has Lakshmi Rai and Sarath Kumar in important roles.
