Karthik Kumar finally feels happy

Remember the NRI doctor, who almost marries Shakti (played by Shalini) in the Mani Ratnam film 'Alaipaayuthey'? Yes? That's Karthik Kumar and yes, the actor is extremely happy with the response to his latest flick 'Veppam'.

The theater person and actor is now revealing in the success of his film 'Veppam', which stars Nani, Nithya Menen and Bindu Madhavi alongside him. The film, directed by Anjana Ali Khan, an associate of Gautham Vasudev Menon, was shot in a period of just 46 days.

Says Karthik, "I am very happy with the way the film has shaped up and the kind of response that the film has generated. The narrative of the film is different, and it has worked with the audience to a certain extent. People might wonder in the first half as to what the film is leading to, but then the second half of the film solves itself. It is a role that I have experimented with, something that I have never attempted before. It's a small film, but I am happy is doing well."
