Karthi, Reema shooting for Selva's science thriller

Karthi, Surya's brother, who won laurels for his brilliant performance in "Paruthiveeran" directed by Ameer, and Reema Sen are busy working on acclaimed director Selvaraghavan's "Aayirathil Oruvan".

The forests of Chalakudy and deserts of Jaisalmer are some of the locations where the shooting has taken place. The unit has now moved to Hyderabad where a set has been erected inside Ramoji Rao Film City at a cost of Rs 5 crore.

Glam girl Reema Sen is undergoing a complete image make-over. She dons the role of a bio-scientist who invents a medicine with a potential to change the lives of people. Karthi plays the role of man transformed by her wonder medicine. Karthi has grown a beard for his new look in the film.

Reema Sen is said to be keen to change her image as a glam girl to become a serious actress. She has been quoted as saying that, "I accepted the role after listening to the entire script. It is so engrossing and will fetch me more fame."

Describing "Aayirathil Oruvan" as a science thriller, Selvaraghavan says this is his first experiment with such a different subject. Graphics occupy about 80 per cent of the film. Each and every frame is being shaped up with utmost care, according to him.

"Aayiraathil Oruvan" is Karthi's second film after the release of his debut film "Paruthiveeran" which became a blockbuster.
