Ilayaraja composes for a Short film
May 19, 2011 PSRecently Prabhakaran's film got the honor of being screened at the Cannes Film Festival. The film has been inspired by writer Pushpa Thangadurai's short story. 'Amma' has a running time of 35 minutes. Apart from being screened at Cannes the film will also be a part of film fests to be held at Orlando, Chicago and Moscow.
'Amma' has Kodaikanal as the back drop. The lead character has been essayed by Marc, an American. Archana who appeared in 'Mynaa' has essayed the role of Mulli. Sukumar, the cinematographer of 'Mynah' has done the cinematography for this film too. Art director Prabhakaran has been in the industry for more than 15 years with his career spanning more than 60 films. He has also worked in small screen serials as well as in ad films. He is a twin time state award winner for art direction.
