Director Sundar debuts as actor

Sundar, with hits like "Ullatthai Allitthaa" to his credit, plays the action hero in "Thalainagaram". His director is Suraj, who had worked under Sundar as an apprentice.
Sundar plays the role of a henchman of an underworld don, Kasim Bhai. Fight sequences account for much of the role that fits with the impressive physique of the actor-director.
Sundar's heroine in the film is Jyotirmayi from the Malayalam screen, who has made a mark in Tamil cinema with her popular dance numbers.
This, however, is not the end of the road for Sundar as a director. He is to wield the megaphone for Khushboo's own production, "Rendu", with Madhavan in the lead role.
The film's title, which means 'two', is said to be doubly significant. It will be Khushboo's second production after "Giri", and the second film for Madhavan under Sundar's direction after "Anbe Sivam".
