Director Sasi Kumar announced the title of his next film

Director Sasi Kumar announced the title of his next film. 'Easan', is his second film after 'Subramaniapuram'. 'I wanted to give it a title only after completing the film', said the director at a press conference in Chennai on Oct. 19. Playing the lead role is director Samuthirakani. He plays an upright police officer. Abinaya who made her debut in 'Nadodigal' plays as a college student. 'She has done a commendable job', said Sasi Kumar. Other members of the cast are Vaibhav, A.L. Alagappan, Aparna, Thulasi and Namo Narayanan. S.R. Kathir is the cinematographer.

'The story is different from my first film. It is based on life in Chennai, an urban story on youngsters and talks about the trials and joys of city life. I can't slot it into any particular kind of story'. When asked why he was not acting in the film Sasi Kumar said, 'I preferred new faces to make it realistic'.

Music is by James Vasanthan. 'There are five songs and includes melodies, western and folk', added the director. The audio launch is scheduled for November. The film shot mostly in Hyderabad is likely to be released in December.
