Dhanshika fasted for four days for 'Paradesi' climax

Dhanshika, one of the heroines in Director Bala’s ‘Paradesi’ fasted for four days for the film’s climax scenes.

Besides Dhanshika, the cast has Atharva Murali and Vedhika. The movie is based on a true-life incident that happened in the year 1930.

Dhanshika plays the role of a tea estate worker. In a chat with mediapersons, she told her experiences during the shooting. Before signing the film, she was told by director Bala that the character she would play was important and she would receive plaudits from fans after the release of the film. So, “I worked hard for two months. When climax scenes were being shot, Bala wanted me to reduce my weight. After this advice I fasted for four days. On these four days I was drinking only water and orange juice. I am happy my performance in the climax met the expectations of Bala,” she said.
