Much acclaimed Vikram-starrer 'Deiva Thirumagal', which mirrored human impulses, will be screened at the Osaka Asian Film Festival this month.

According to director Vijay, the film has been officially selected under the world cinema category. It has also entered the competition section.

Vikram and Vijay will be present during the film's screening on March 15 and 18.

Vijay says the film would have sub-titles in English and screened under the title of 'God's Own Child'.

The film was earlier screened at the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea.

Anushka, Amala Paul, Sara, Santhanam and Nasser played key roles in the film, which has struck a chord in the hearts of the viewers.

The film touchingly portrays the bonding between mentally challenged father and his motherless girl child. Father Krishna, a factory worker, hits several roadblocks while fighting for the custody of his beloved daughter from his dead wife's father. After his successful bid to have his daughter reunited with him, he lets her go with her grandfather in the interests of her future. The performance of Anushka as a briefless lawyer helping Vikram was highly appreciated.
