Abhishek Bachchan had reportedly heard the song at Bappi Lahiri’s studio in Hitesh Nagar in Mumbai and told Bappi that the song would become as big a hit as his ‘I am a Disco Dancer…’ if it was released in Hindi. Abhishek had assured the composer that he would use it in one of his films.
‘Karuppampatti’, produced by Sundar Pictures and directed by Prabburaja Chozhan, has Ajmal, Aparna Bajpai and an Italian actress in the cast. The hero, who has settled in France, comes to India in search of his roots. The story reflects both the Tamil and French cultures. The film has been shot in India and Italy.
