Arjun in Mani Ratnam's 'Pookadai'

Action king Arjun will be playing a central character in ace director Mani Ratnam's latest film, tentatively named 'Pookadai'.

Mani Ratnam has already selected yesteryear actor Karthik's son Gautham (new face) for the lead. He is still in the hunt for the heroine.

Arjun confirmed that he would be part of the film. Of the character he is to play, he did not reveal much. He would only say that he would be playing a pivotal character; certainly not the villain.

This is the first time in his career Arjun will be working for Mani Ratnam. 'Obviously I am thrilled,' he said.
