'Annakodi' shooting in Theni put off

The shooting of Director Bharathiraja's 'Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum', which started in Theni in South Tamil Nadu last month, has been postponed and the reason is believed to be the ongoing agitation over the Mullaperiyar dam. The shooting will be resumed after the unseemly controversy is resolved, according to reports.

As Theni is one of the regions, which gets irrigation supplies from Mullaperiyar dam, the film unit reportedly feels that continuing the shooting there in the surcharged atmosphere is not desirable.

Ameer, 'Ko'Karthika, Iniya and Lakshmanan play the lead roles. Karthika and Iniya ('Vaagai Choodavaa' fame) hail from Kerala.
