'Ambuli' makers to do a comedy film in 3D
May 16, 2012 PGV
Before embarking on their project to make a sequel to Ambuli 3D, Haresh Narayan and Harishankar plan to make a comedy film in 3D.
To take Ambuli to more people, they intend releasing the 2D version on May 18. There is a plan to release the film in Kerala simultaneously.
Ambuli 2D will be screened in 40 to 50 theatres, according to Haresh Narayan. He says theatre owners have been asking for the 2D version because they have run out of 3D glasses and people still want them to screen at least the 2D version, if not 3D.
They have explored the possibility of making the sequel in 4D but the problem is that not all theatres are equipped to screen it. In any case, the sequel will be technologically superior. Haresh and Harishankar may attend a workshop in New York to get updated on technology development.
The overwhelming success of Ambuli has greatly enthused the makers to be more creative and innovative while making their next films.
