'Alex Pandian' is Karthi's first in Malayalam version

Actor Karthi is not a stranger to Malayali audiences. His ‘Paiyaa’, ‘Siruthai’ and other films have received good response in Kerala. But these films were in Tamil.

‘Alex Pandian’ starring Karthi, all set to release in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously next month, will also hit the screens in Kerala in the Malayalam version. This is Karthi’s first film being dubbed in Malayalam for the benefit of those who find Tamil a barrier in Kerala.

Would he dub for himself in the film? “I love to.. but honestly my Malayalam is not good enough.”

He will get more fluent in the language and hopes to dub for himself in future films for the Malayalam audience, says Karthi.

Some portions of ‘Alex Pandian’ have been shot in Chalakkudy in Kerala. Shooting in Kerala has always been great, he quips.
