'Yes, Your Honour' is crowned top film

Kochi, Dec 13 (IANS) Actor Sreenivasan's "Yes, Your Honour" and Prithviraj starrer "Pakal" make it to the list of the top box office Malayalam hits.

The top five Malayalam films are:

1. "Yes, Your Honour" - Sreenivasan plays a struggling junior lawyer in his inimitable style in this film directed by V.M. Vinu. Sreenivasan's performance helps it climb to the top spot.

2. "Karutha Pakshikal" - Kamal's story and direction gives Mammootty a character to which he does full justice. There are expectations that he will win a couple of awards for his performance in the film.

3. "Vasthavam" - The film has stayed steady in its position due to Prithviraj's performance.

4. "Classmates" - This may be the last time that this film appears on this list. But it has got the distinction of staying put for nearly three months.

5. "Pakal" - Prithviraj plays a TV journalist covering farmers' suicides in the state. Directed by M.A. Nishad, it gives deserved treatment to a relevant subject.
