Sreenivasan lashes out against superstars

Cochin, Aug.11 (NR): Actor Sreenivasan said today that the superstars whose stardom doesn't stand to suffer even if several of their films flopped were the curse of Malayalam cinema.

Sreenivasan was interacting with the media persons during a promotional event of his new film 'Aathmakatha'.

Sreeni said that those who ruled the film organizations were people with no other job to do. There is no way in which some of their decisions could be justified. Sreeni admitted that even he was afraid of a ban, since an organization is always more powerful than an individual.

He said that the need of the day was producers who could actually support good cinema. Nowadays most of the producers think of making some quick money.

The script of 'Aathmakadha' was simply brilliant, and he was attracted to the film once he heard the story, Sreeni admitted.
