'Puthiyoreenam' most popular Malayalam song

Kochi, March 5 (IANS) "Cycle" still holds sway among listeners as well as viewers and "Puthiyoreenam" tops the chart this fortnight.

The top five Malayalam songs are:

1. "Puthiyoreenam"- Film: "Cycle"; Music: Mejo Joseph; Lyrics: Anil Panachooran; Singers: Karthik and Vineeth Sreenivasan. As the popularity of this film remains undiminished, the music also sustains itself.

2. "Kannadi Kottile" - Film: "Calcutta News"; Music: Deb Jyothi Misra; Lyrics: Sarath Varma; Singers: Chitra, Vanitha and Vijitha. The music of the movie is still popular. Malayalis are responding positively to the different sound presented by Deb Jyothi Misra.

3. "Varnapainkili" - Film: "Cycle"; Music: Mejo Joseph; Lyrics: Anil Panachooran; Singer: Vineeth Sreenivasan. The track proves that Vineeth is a multi-tasker in the true sense of the term. He sings and acts in the song.

4. "Snehathin Koodonnu" - Film: "College Kumaran"; Music: Ousepachan; Lyrics: Shibu Chakravarthi; Singers: Karthik and Aparna. The composition of Mohanlal films has a crowd-pleasing quality and this song is no exception.
