'Maayavi' songs rock Kerala

Kochi, Feb 22 (IANS) There is hardly any change in the list since last fortnight except for the entry of the song "Paattum padi" from "Speed Track".

The top five Malayalam songs are:

1. "Muttathe mulle" - Film: "Maayavi"; Music: Alex Paul; Lyrics: Sarath Varma; Singers: K.J. Yesudas and Manjari. The Alex Paul-Sarath Varma team has been having a good time since "Classmates", which became a super-hit. The trend continues with "Maayavi".

2. "Kannu chimmi chimmi" - Film: "Inspector Garud"; Music: Alex Paul; Lyrics: Sarath Varma; Singer: Vineeth Sreenivasan. Now Vineeth also has a hit with actor Dileep.

3. "Paattum padi" - Film: "Speed Track"; Music: Deepak Dev; Lyrics: Gireesh Puthencherry; Singer: K.J. Yesudas. This Dileep starrer has been lying in the cans for a long time due to financial problems. But its songs are catching on as is the film.

4. "Sneham thenalla" - Film: "Maayavi"; Music: Alex Paul; Lyrics: Sarath Varma; Singers: M.G. Sreekumar and G. Venugopal. Both the songs of "Maayavi" are on the list and both of them are melodious.

5. "Kai niraye" - Film: "Baba Kalyani"; Music: Alex Paul; Lyrics: Sarath Varma; Singer: G. Venugopal. This song is a compliment for the composer-lyricist team for their near-complete dominance on the chart over the last few months.
