Jassie Gift back with Katrina number

Kochi, May 3 (IANS) Composer Jassie Gift is back with a bang. His song "Mathapoo" from "Balram Vs Tharadas" " featuring Katrina Kaif tops the list this fortnight.

The top five Malayalam songs are:

1. "Mathapoo" - Film: "Balram Vs Tharadas"; Music: Jassie Gift; Lyrics: Gireesh Puthencherry; Singers: Afsal, Rimy Tomy, Anwar and Jassie Gift. This song has the Jassie Gift stamp all over it. Katrina Kaif shakes a leg along with actor Arun and singers Afsal and Rimy Tomy.

2. "Aattinkarayorathe" - Film: "Rasathantram"; Music: Ilayaraja; Lyrics: Gireesh Puthencherry; Singer: Manjari. This can termed as the best song picturised on Meera Jasmine in Malayalam so far. Its popularity is unabated.

3. "Varavelkkumo" - Film: 'Pachakuthira'; Music: Ilayaraja; Lyrics: Gireesh Puthencherry; Singers: Madhu, Balakrishnan and Jyotsna. Shot in a dream sequence, the song is making waves.

4. "Thevaram nokkunnunde" - Film: "Rasathantram"; Music: Ilayaraja; Lyrics: Gireesh Puthencherry; Singer: Vineeth Sreenivasan. The film has Mohanlal in his elements and the song accentuates the fact.
