Dileep to return the advance!

A meeting of the members of AMMA, the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists, was held on Sunday, in which it was decided to ask actor Dileep to return the advance that he had taken from director Thulaseedas.

It should be remembered that it was the tussle about this advance which arose between Dileep and Thulaseedas that led to many other developments culminating in the MACTA split and the formation of a new association.

AMMA has also decided to refrain from taking any action against veteran actor Thilakan for making vehement comments against the Association and also against actor Nedumudi Venu. Another decision that was taken was about increasing the pension amount to destitute artists. The pension would be hiked from Rs.2000 to Rs 2500 and seven more artists would be added to the list. Actor Innocent, the president of the Association, later said that Dileep has agreed to pay back the advance he had got from Thulaseedas.
