Youthful love story Oscar launched with fan fare

Bangalore, April.28: Producer Shivu Belawadi and D.S.Kubera are behind a new film titled as Oscar which is directed by debutant Krishna. Krishna had worked previously as an associate director in films like Shishya and Kodagaana Koli Nungiththa.

The film will have actor Ashok Kumar in the lead. Both the heroines of the film have the same name as Priyanka. Ashok Kumar had acted in a small role in the film Taj Mahal. Priyanka who had acted in Marujanma earlier is one of the heroines of the film. Another Priyanka has already worked in the film Kabaddi which is directed by Babu.

Narayana Swamy who has already worked in a few Kannada films plays the role of the villain in the film. According to Krishna the film will revolve around three to four major characters. It is not a regular love story, but will be something different.

"We will be shooting the film in Bangalore, Mysore, Madikeri and Mangalore. It would be a start to finish schedule for around 40 days," said Krishna.

Naveen Suvarna is the cameraman of the film.
