Bangalore, May 18 (IANS) The success of Kannada film "Nanda Nanditha" has made the young Yogeesh an overnight star but in his next film "Ambari" he stays away from guns and goons that has made him hugely popular.

"Ambari", which is being produced by Yogeesh's father Siddaraju and directed by debutante Arjun, is being shot in Mysore and Bangalore.

Yogeesh came into limelight playing a psychopathic killer 'Loose Maada' in the hugely successful film "Duniya" directed by Soori. Though Yogeesh had a cameo role, he managed to get a big applause from the audience.

Following this, Ramesh Kashyap chose him as the lead actor for his film "Nanda Nanditha". Yogeesh's terrific screen presence made the film a hit and it is currently running in its ninth week in many centres.

Even though Yogeesh's successes have been from films based on underworld and real-life violent incidents, "Ambari" director Arjun promises a film free from sex and violence.

"Believe me, I am making a clean film. My film's hero is from slums, but he does not hold a sickle and sword to eliminate the enemies. He is a lover and believes that love is something that relates to heart. He spreads the message of love and wants to retain his love for anything in his life," says Arjun.

The film would also see Supreeta being introduced as heroine.

Siddaraju says he is impressed with the story written by Arjun, who has also penned the script and dialogues.

"We have chosen top technicians like Sathya Hegde as cameraman and Hari Krishna is the music director because we do not want to compromise on the quality of the film. I chose my son to be the hero of this film because he just fitted into the role written by Arjun," Siddaraju said.

Yogeesh said that "Ambaari" would be different and his role would bring in freshness.
