Yoga, meditation centre at the Raj Kumar Samadhi

Thousands of film fans, well wishers and family members of Kannada movie icon Dr. Raj Kumar visited his Samadhi on Thursday (October 12) at the Kanteerava Studio complex and paid respects.


Ms. Parvathamma Raj Kumar, wife of the thespian along with her two sons Shivaraj Kumar and Raghavendra Raj Kumar paid respects to the thespian by offering floral prayers. Six months ago on April 12, the entire state of Karnataka was shocked to learn that their favorite star Dr. Raj Kumar had died.


Six months after the death of thespian Dr. Raj Kumar, his Samadhi is still a popular place and is visited by many people from all parts of the state. Ms. Parvathamma Raj Kumar said that the family has decided that a Yoga and meditation centre and a museum to be built in the complex in the memory of her husband. She said that all the materials and possessions of her husband are being collected so as to keep them in the proposed museum.


Raghavendra Raj Kumar said that the proposed Dr.Raj Kumar Trust may become operational by the thespian's first death anniversary. The Trust will be looking at different resources to the development of education, he added.
